Internships

Our Internships

Are you a student interested in pursuing a career in agriculture? Connect your classroom learning to the field with a summer internship at Top Ag. Our internships give students the unique opportunity to gain valuable skills while helping us grow our communities.

All internships are paid and run from mid-May through August.

Get Hands-On Experience

As an agronomy intern at Top Ag, you will be able to work alongside industry professionals to gain hands-on experience in crop nutrition, soil sampling, crop protection, custom application, and more. In addition, you will have access to corporate-level resources through our affiliations with industry partners and suppliers, which will give you an in-depth internship experience.

    • Soil Sampling
    • Weed/Insect Identification
    • Assisting with Product and Agronomy Trials
    • Providing Customer Service to our Growers
    • Operations Experience
    • Sales Experience

Top Ag interns can also travel throughout our service area, visit our locations, and explore other aspects of our business, such as precision farming, feed mill operations, grain merchandising, and more.

    Requirements
    • Must be a current college student
    • Applicant is pursuing a career or major in agriculture or an agriculture-related field
    • Ag background, knowledge, or work experience is preferred but not required
    Training

We believe in professional development for all our employees. This includes our interns. In addition to our rigorous on-the-job training in the field, we offer several other opportunities for students to grow their skills. In mid-May, we invite our agronomy interns to attend a two-day Agronomy Scout Training presented by Land O’ Lakes Business Development Services.
